Kaaris

Okou Armand Gnakouri was born on January 30, 1980, in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. Kaaris is a French trapper who was raised in Sevran, a suburb of Paris. In 2001 Kaaris threw his first mixtape . In 2007 he threw his mixtape ”43eme Bima” online. De trapper rapt about his own life in the Banlieue. His lyrics are hardcore and often chocking. His big break-through was the track ‘Kalash’ together with the well-known rapper Booba, released in 2012. That was also the year his mixtape Z.E.R.O was released. Kalash received 26,7 million views on YouTube with Kalash. After the release of this mixtape, Kaaris signed a contract with the record label AZ. Kaaris is known for rapping about the streetlife, selling drugs and women. He has been influenced by the American rappers Rakim, Nas and Jay-Z. His clips stand out as well, they are often dark in atmosphere, and show drugs, weapons, expensive cars and beautiful women. Kaaris is clearly recognized through his typical trap sound. His quality has not remained unnoticed abroad: he has cooperated with the American rappers Gucci Mane and Future. The track with Gucci Mane,  ”2.7 Zéro 10″, has received 4,1 million views on YouTube. The track with Future, ”Crystal” has received 12,9 million views. On Spotify, the track Tchoin has the most streams: 11,3 million. Kaaris has 1 million listeners per month.
